I had a fun mini vacation. 5 family members from Florida came up to visit last Wednesday evening and returned Monday early AM. They, including my parents, went to NYC for a day trip on Thursday and rested on Friday. While they were in NYC, my immediate family and I had lunch at Maine Fish Market Restaurant in East Windsor CT and movies that evening ((bread, fried seafood, beers, margaritas--Lunch/Dinner. Popcorn, candy, soda--Movies.)) The portions from the lunch were huge so we ended up eating the remainder for dinner.

On Saturday, my wife and 2 of my teens, my parents, and the 5 visiting from FL (11 of us total), headed across the state and took a historic cruise in Boston harbor. Later that day when we returned home, I handled the grilling like a pro!(( Sandwiches, chips, soda, water--Lunch. Lobster, seafood rice, corn, chicken, potato salad, steamed cabbage and bok choy, hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, wine, beer, Gordons Gin, Bacardi and Wray and Nephew Jamaican Rum... and water -- Diner))

Sunday morning, the 11 of us got on the highway again this time heading west out to the Berkshires to see Campbell Falls in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. My parents and my Uncle and Aunt, ages ranging between 65 - 75, conquered the trails to and from the waterfalls. They needed a little assistance on the way back with some fallen tree branches that served as walking sticks to ascend the steep hill. When we returned home late that afternoon, I got on the grill again. ((packed sandwiches, chips, soda --Lunch. Corn, chicken, macaroni salad, hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, wine, beer, Gordons Gin, Bacardi and Wray and Nephew Jamaican Rum... and water -- Diner))

Yesterday, I rested so I could come back into the office refreshed.

7 pounds up??? This is water retention from the major carb intake over the last 5 days. No worries. I've planned my meals for the next few days to correct this upswing and I am now executing. I probably will transition to a fast starting next Sunday evening after 6 days of low carb and 16:8 daily eating windows.

Yup, they're fun. Too bad, the scale doesn't just have a smiley 😊 for a few days. It's a life long battle. We're in it to win it!

Maintenance is a lifestyle. Yep, there will be detours. But they are data. So long as you connect and correct, it's all good. Sounds like a great time!
