Had to turn around mid-walk last night as gunshots and fireworks were freaking my shy girl out so we turned around and went home after a few blocks. Hoping it will calm down in a day or so. In the meantime, I guess we're relegated to daylight walks only. Came home, made sure I was moving for a solid hour and that was that.

So here we are at the end of this tumultuous year. There's been both good and bad and significant challenges lie ahead for all of us. with respect to the new year, I'm going to focus on what I've been doing well and continue doing it. I've increased my overall movement consistently through the year with the exception of the 12 weeks I was sidelined by injuring my back. That said, here we are, where do we go? Push harder, do more, build muscle while I still can.

I watched a video series on Lindsey Vonn recently (after the HBO one which was really good) and while I'm never going to reach that level of pushing through because she's an absolute beast, I can do better than I have. BF laughs at me on our walks, for some reason, he always seems to catch me those days where I have to stop for a second so I can work the kink out of an ankle or a knee that's just stuck for a moment. I am stupid stubborn, thankfully, and do seem to be able to keep going. 2021 will be my year of pushing through. That includes those annoying last sets in the pool the last week. Seems apropos.

Good riddance and Happy New Year, FS friends. I can honestly say that you have all made this very challenging year much better. I know I don't always have time for individual responses, but I do try and support and I appreciate all of you and how you help and support one another. Keep up the good work. Here's to a better 2021.
