My old normal was the new mixup yesterday. Swim, walk, burger over at a neighbor's, no bun, couple sips of beer. That part of life is getting more normal. I really hope they start doing movie nights again. It's been ages and was so much fun. Everyone in that group vaccinated so no masks, yay! Stayed close to normal calories plus I moved a lot.

We didn't go to the desert because of the drizzle, instead went over to Coronado. Fitting for Memorial Day weekend, actually. Not the regular beach stuff because that's not my thing. Just driving and looking, taking it in. Saw some boats, saw some planes, all the flags were down yesterday, probably for a ceremony today. The boat on the beach makes me kinda sad. Someone's dream at one point. Wasn't in a place where I could look at it up close though. Happens all the time according to a friend who lives across the way. They break free and wash up on the southern shores when there's big wind like earlier in the week.

Swim was good, stopped to save a bee, still got 852 strokes, 10.1 METs, 151 average heart rate with high at 167. Did the last set without paddles or fins, that's always entertaining as it kicks my butt holding my own trying not to swallow the pool. Gives the heart and lungs a good workout though. Kinda like a five minute sprint, almost as hard as sprint sets. We'll call it A-HIIT for almost HIIT. Walk was shorter and for the dogs to get out. All sorts of crappy drivers out so we played it safe close to home.
