Had a pretty good night last night as far as things go here lately. It was cloudy and cool, so after a Costco run for the pharmacy, we went for a long, slow walk to the tune of 2.15 miles and while the speed was slow, it was a good walk at an even pace. It’s funny how quickly things can change in life. We made it all the way to the park, sat in the grass for a few minutes, saw some people I’ve missed, and meandered home around 8:30. Taking all those tiny moments when they happen and enjoying them. I’m thrilled that Shasta wants to participate with her pack and it reinforces my decision to let things play out as they will. Make no mistake, it doesn’t mean that all my days are going to be sunshine and rainbows, but we can enjoy what we can together. Look at the happy smile on Shasta after we got home. She also spent a good amount of the day harassing Chance which brings all of us joy. Yes, he likes it. Always going back for more, just like a little brother. Slept in until 8:30 this morning, I’ve been trying to go to bed earlier, but just feeling exhausted all the time so decided to sleep without alarms on this morning. We’ll see how it goes. It’s cloudy and rainy here, so will work on stuff inside the house and swim later. Miss Olivia is back for a few weeks, my turn to watch her in a few. Should be fun. Once we got more food into her, she has enough energy to start bossing Chance around. Even though he’s now twice as big, he turns into a puppy when she scolds him and yips rather than barks in protest. It’s pretty funny. I’m trying to get as many videos as possible since we just don’t know how the story is going to end.
