I've finally made it down from 216 to 176 and hopefully will meet my goal by the end of the year of 155. 🙏🏾

You know in my classes almost every student is obese
|
I don’t like eating out with them cause I don’t want to get confortable eating too much.
|
Expect the older professor she is really fit for he age
|
Oh and the ones that are not obese are overweight
|
I went to an event yesterday of successful business lawyer type people. They are all thin
|
@liv001 - I have noticed this too. However, older computer programmers who all make way over 100k a year will also tend to be overweight. Its like they get 'points' for having the wealth to eat well and time for exercise, but unlike the lawyers their income is usually not tied to how they 'look' :)

Jen, congrats on the new job! I have worked places with lots of out-sized people, I call them "corn-fed". Sad.
|
I was taken to a place in Mississippi that deep fried the burgers. Crazy. I am fat fat fat but that was beyond anything I could handle.

It's NOT A NEW Job. It's my same miserable low paying high stress 7 day a week job.

Yup kids are fat too. My brother is a lawyer and he's pencil thin. It's stress and lots of hours.

When i visited Boston, EVERYONE was healthy and fit. Big difference. Sad thing, these people think it's ok to have a1c at 6.5 and rising. Their doctors say it's OK and lots not. It's a nice day, enjoy

I like your attitude. Surround yourself with people that are like-minded health wise. Stick to the plan and KetoOn!

I drove semi for 17 years in the lower 48 and Canada. Yes, I could see a difference by region. Not only in overall weight but in dietary preference as well.
Boston, folks would be getting veggie salads and unsweetened tea. In Mississippi, one guy would order double chicken fried steak, “taters”, and fried corn on the cob. Buttered cornbread, and a 64 oz Slurpee to wash it down.
I stared, watching to see if he was sharing with his family. Nope! “Y’all, it’s yore turn now.” “I don’t want no vegetables!” “Then get extra cornbread or johnny cake, that counts cuz it’s from corn.” And not a water, unsweetened tea, or diet drink in the lot.
Then came desserts.
No, statistically, there is a difference by region, income, employment, and family history. But it really hits home when you travel and survey menu options and watch what people get.
