Oh to diet. It's not for me. I'm thinking of it as a new meal plan for life. My main goal is portion control which includes getting enough protein in every meal. I'm not much for junk food. So that's never been a problem. I learned recently that I don't eat enough protein. I'm working to change that without going overboard on meat. I don't really like it that much. I love fish, but no longer trust it.

Where does all this leave me. Counting grams of protein. So far so good. I exercise for an hour everyday. That helps too. I want to live healthy. I once did triathlons. Then an accident put an end to it. I could not walk for two years. Although I missed driving most. Now, I'm trying to recover some of my muscle mass and reduce my weight. I will never run again and I'm up to 30 min. walking without pain. My goal is to reclaim my love for hiking and biking. I can no longer turn in the pool so it's not as fun. I miss running.

There's my rant. Much success to everyone with their endeavors.
