Full of it this morning. Had pizza remains for lunch instead of salad. It was good. Why is cold pizza so freaking good anyways? Walked last night, medium walk. Too many people out for a long one and it was hot and I have to be careful with the furballs. Still a little down, didn't write my note yet because I'm just too raw at this point. Will get to it. Didn't swim, but got new toy for the yard. A wood burning fire pit with a globe cage on it. End of season sale and I didn't buy it the first day so I followed my 24 hour rule. That will be fun. In addition to demo'ing the outside couch, I have a termite infested shed that is taking up precious real estate. That will be a future project. Busy week ahead, good distraction. I don't know who to text my smart a$$ remarks to anymore. That's such a weird feeling. Moments of joy. There were seven hummingbirds flitting around in this tree last night around sunset. These are the same hummers that bathe in my fountain each morning. It's near impossible to catch them all because they never really stop moving, but they bring me so much joy. We usually get hummingbirds early spring, but I was so crushed this year that I never saw any. Then as I was sipping coffee on my front porch on Labor Day, one flew right up to me! I ran to make some nectar and put the feeder back out (we were asked to take feeders down until the all-clear came a few weeks ago). Now I have a pair that come several times a day. 🙂

yeah, I'm still not feeding them this year because of that, but they come for the flowers and the water. they seem to be doing pretty well anyways. I think I'm going to move to small feeders next year so I'm forced to fill and clean frequently.

Allen's? Those fire pits with cage are great, especial for the incoming fall evenings. I like that 24-holding discipline.

I have Anna's and Rufus mostly, but there are a ton of them that live in southern california. They're just so territorial that I only see my regulars.

If you drink from a red cup or wear red nail polish, they will often come right up to you to check for food. 🌈

Don't have hummingbirds here. Just pigeons & geese.
