When I first moved to San Diego, I took six months off to decompress and reclaim my life from some stuff I needed to leave behind me. One of my go-to's was walking on the beach at Coronado (long before dogs) either in the morning or at night. Once I had a real job again, that ceased and I settled on once a week, and then once a month and then I moved further away than I am now and it just fell out of my habits. The exception has been going with friends and their dogs from time to time, but that doesn't really allow for the emptying of my head because we're trying to keep track of everyone and stay out of trouble. Last night was amazing for me. The beach was fairly empty, the weather has finally cooled down enough to wear jeans instead of shorts. The views were amazing. I don't even know if pics will post as I type this, but we'll have to see where we get. I was meeting up with BF for date night and I got there early and he had to work late so I walked the beach and watched the sunset. The takeaway is that I'm going to go more often and think of the cost of gas as the equivalent of paying for a night out or something. Truly blessed to live in a magic place and I need to be more appreciative.
